INTER-IMPERIAL MAILS.
SPEECH BY SIR WILFRID LAURIER. /' Received July 3, 7.55 a.m. LONDON, July 2. Speaking at a Canadian dinner at the Hotel Cecil, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Premier of Canada, warmly advocated an All-Red line of steamers encircling the earth, as a truly Imperial schema. He declared that Canada, New Zealand, and Australia were ready to give their support. If the British people and Parliament were willing heavy responsibility in order to keep a line of steamers between Liverpool and New York, surely what the United Kingdom had done for the foreigner it might be willing to do for people living under the British flag.
The the hope that Britain will be ready to help in that and many other wants, in order to bring the nation together.
