DISCONTENT IN SOUTH OF FRANCE.

Received July 30, 4.45 p.m. PARIS, June 29. The Chamber of Deputies, by 324 votes to 233, approved of M.Clemenceau's measures to enforce the law in the South of France. The Premier is confident that he will be able to effect conciliation. Meanwhile the wine-growers' conference at Argeliers demanded a reduction of the taxes, and resolved to continue the municipal strike and the non-payment of the present taxes, even if the Government sent bayonets. The attitude of the wine-growers is intended to influence the Senate, which nevertheless passed the Chamber of Deputies Bill.
