THE "BLACK HAND" GANG.
A TERRIBLE MURDER. Received June 26, 8.30 a.m. , NEW YORK, June-25. The "Black Hand" gang-of New Orleans captured a boy, and demanded £1,200 ransom from his father, Mr Peter Lamana, a wealthy merchant. The money was wanted to enable a member of the gang to marry an Italian beauty named Gilbra. As a warning to others for refusing the demands of the gang, it was decided to kill the child. Caracetara, an Italian, broke his neck, and the body was carved and distributed in March. \ Owing to a confession, fifteen members of the gang have been arrested.
