HOCKEY.
WAIRARAPA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION. A special meeting of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr F, Daniell occupying the chair. It was resolved that, owing to the inability of some players to obtain the necessary leave the tour to Taranaki and Wanganui be postponed until the end of the fixtures. The Manawatu match will, however, be played on the date arranged, July 10th. It was decided to pick the representative team on Saturday. A letter was received from the Wairarapa Referees' Association enclosing a list of rules which were confirmed. It was resolved that the fixtures for the second r9und should commence on July 4th, and not the 11th, as previously decided on.
The following team will represent the W.F.C.A. against Carterton B, at Lansdowne, to-morrowH. Hall, C. Smith, A. Fleming, G. Scrimgeour, C. Fairbrother, H. Richards, J. La Roche, W. Minett, S. Duncan, R. Dickson, H. Whitt. The following team Will represent the United Club in their match against Carterton, at Carterton tomorrow: — Hatch, Denton, Rees, Isaacs, JjNicol, Carley, Hooper, Tooby, Wing, Baker and Winter. As Carterton have so far an unbeaten record this season* a very keen match is anticipated. Mr J. O'Meara will r6f@rc6« • The Huia-Featherston match will not be played next Thursday, at Greytown. The match has been postponed till July 11th, as Featherston are unable tojplace a full team in the field on Thursday. The following team will represent Glengarry against Hinemoa (Carterton), at Masterton to-morrow:—For-wards, Misses R. McGregor, J. Scott, W. Logan, E. Devenport, and A. Pike;'halves, Misses A. Devenport, I. McKenzie and F. Hood; fullbacks, Misses G. Gordon and F. de Lisle; goal, Miss J. Evans.
