THEFT OF A CUP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received June 20, 7.27 a.m. LONDON, June 19. The Ascot Gold Cup, valued at 500 guineas, which was being exhibited behind the grandstand at Ascot in charge of the maker's representative and a constable, was stolen while their attention was momentarily diverted, presumably by an accomplice of the thief. The cup was to be run for to-mor-row.
