MASTERTON HOSPITAL.

MEETING OP TRUSTEES. The monthly meeting of the Mristerton Hospital Trustees, yesterday morning, was attended by Messrs J. B. Keith (chairman), W. Harris, M. J. H. Jackson, F. W. H. Kummer, and J. C. Ewington. An apology for absence was received [from Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.R. The Treasurer reported as follows:—Balance at last meeting, £133 16s 8d; receipts, £327 12s; disbursements, £155 4s Id; balance at date, £276 4s 7d. Accounts amounting to £139 18s 8d ware passed for payment. A communication ,vas received with reference to the installation of an automatic gate at the entrance of the Hospital grounds. Messrs Ewington and Harris were appointed a committee to report on the matter. 1 The question of procuring a more suitable operating table in place of the one that was recently received in a damaged condition was lei't to Dr. A. Hoaking, who has the matter in hand. The doctor was also instructed J^fcrprepare a list of articles required for the operating room. Messrs Harris, Keith and Ewington were appointed a committee to attend to the matter of planting trees in the -" Hospital grounds, protective works near the Waipoua River, and making a road in the grounds. Mr Keith was appointed visiting member for the month.
