MANAWATU WINTER SHOW.
By Telegraph—-Press Association. PALMERSTON N., June 18. The Manawatu Show opened under favourable conditions to-day. The Royal Horticultural Society's medal was won by S. J. Gibbins with a collection of apples. The Society's medal for a collection of vegetable was won by Slack Bros. The awards in the cheese classes were as follow: —Three cases cream cheddar: Waikouaiti, 94; Edendale, 93i; South Canterbury, 93. Three casts white: Taratahi, 94*; Waikouaiti, 93?;; Dalelield, 93. Two factory cheeses : Taratahi, D3J ; Edendale, 92k ; Dalefield and Belvedere tied with 92. Medium size factory: Taratahi, 93 J; Belvedere, 92J-; Dalefield, Edendale and Imperial, 5)14. Two loaf chooses: Edendale, O.'U; Taratahi, 93; Belvedere, 92J.
