UNREST IN IRELAND.
EXTRAORDINARY • .SPEECH. LONDON, June ,14. In the House of Commons, Mr C. C. Craig. Conservative member .for An-r trim South, asked Mr Binrell, Secretary for Ireland, whether he was aware that Mr P. Kelly, a magistrate, had made a certain speech at .New Inn, Galway. In this speech, Mr Craig stated, .the magistrate had declared that if .Lord Ash town, a local landlord who is under constant strict police protection, lived at Killane or Loqghrea ,(two other Galway towns), he would ,have been on a stretcher long-ago, ,the same as John Blake. Mr Cxaig .explained that John Blake was shot .dead in 1883. The magistrate, Mr Craig said, .added that the men of Wbodlawn ,(in .north-east Galway) lacked the c@ur- , .age and manliness to treat Lord AsJ> .town as he should be treated. .Mr Birrell replied that the speech was under the consideration of the] ; June 16, 4.22 p.m. t !
