There were between thirty and forty couples present, and the club had made preparations for fully doublo that number. However, those present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The floor was in excellent order, and dancing waskept up till the small hours ot the morning. The music was supplied by Mr F. McKenzie, and the duties of M's.C. were carried out by Messrs C. Corbett, J. Waters, •E. Welch and Bert Welch. An excellent supper was provided by an energetic ladies' committee. The success of the function was in a large measure due to the valuable assistance rendered by the ladies' committee, the personnel of which was as follows:—Mesdames Coradine, J. Welch, Piatt, Giddings, Tait, E. Collier, Ashton, B. Welch, Nicholos, and Misses I. Welch and R. McLachlan. During the evening extras were played- by Misses N. o'Leary'(2), and Tait and Messrs Chunn, A. O'Connor and F. McKenzie, and songs were rendered by Mrs Ashton and Mr H. Hall. The secretaries, Messrs C. Corbett and F. P. Welch, left no stone unturned to make the gathering a success.
