PALMERSTON NORTH SUPREME COURT.
* By Telegraph—Special to Age. PALMERSTON N., June 12. Luther Murray was charged with as iault and robbery, at the Supreme Corrt here, to-day. Mr Loughnan, the Crown Prosecutor, appeared for the urosecution, and Mr C. A. Pownall* of Masterton, for the defence. ' The* Crown tendered the King's evidence of Charles Duncan, who was . sentenced to three years' imprisonment in connection with the same offence. Duncan was charged with assaulting and robbing F. N. Bevin, at Dannevirke, of £l6 16s and a gold watch, and Murray was charged with being an accomplice. Murray was acquitted. The trial of Murray, for cattle stealing', will take place to-morrow.
