REPORTED ASSASSINATION <OJF ! THE PRESIDENT- I Received June 12, 8.7 a.m.. June 11. Reports have reached Mexico that Manuel Cabrera, President of Guatamala, has been assassinated. ALIVE AND WELL. Received June 12, 10 p.m. I LONDON, June 12. President Cabrera is alive and well. (Two attempts have been made to assassinate President Cabrera. Once a mine was laid to his house. Prior to that a bomb was thrown at his carriage, injuring General Orellana and the coachman.)
