CATHOLIC SOCIAL.
Despite the inclement weather, last evening, the Catholic Social, held in the Exchange Hall in aid of St. Patrick's Church Fund, was attended by about 200 people. The evening was spent in a very enjoyable manner. Dancing was indulged in in the main hall, while those who did not dance passed evening playing cards in the ante rooms. The floor was in capital order, and excellent music was supplied by Mr F. McKeiiZie. The M's.C. were Messrs J. Kelliher, J. C. McKillop, F. J. Dupre and V. G. Darroch. Supper was laid in the Arcadia Tea Rooms, which had been hired for the purpose, the arrangements being in the hands of a strong ladies' committee, consisting of Mesdarnes Bunny, O'Connell, Denis, 1 Cork, Haugbey, McCracken, Dolan, Dwyer, and Misses McKillop, Chapman, and Donovan, who worked indefatigably to ensure the success of ihe function. The secretaries, Messrs F. J. Dupre and V. G. Dam.jh, carried out the general arrangements for the gathering in splendid style, and it was in a great measure due to their efforts that the social was such a success.
