Onlysmall stocks of Canterbury are on hand,'and there is no change in price to report. ( The lamb market is steady, and a good demand continues. Prices are firm and unchanged. The beef market remains firm. Supplies are decreasing. Hindquarters 4d, forequarters 3£d. The butter market is steady, with good /demand for choicest brands. Choicest New Zealand is selling at 9Us per cwt. cheese market is quiet, prices being slightly weaker. White manufacture realises 665, and coloured 645. . The hemp market i& quiet, and only email business is doing. Only a small quantity of good fair grade is on hand, but there is no change in '•' the prices to report since last week. \ The cocksfoot seed market is quiet, With smal business doing.
