ALLEGED ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

At the Police Court, this mornirg, a young woman, named Florence Murphy, was charged with attempting to commit suicitje on May 27th by jumping into the harbour. Asked by the Bench for a reason for her act, the gifl gave the laconic explanation, "Drunk!" Thtf" case was adjourned until to-morrow, in order that the defendant might ba dealt with by a Stipendiary Magistrate.
