MASTERTON v. WAIRARAPA. The match between the Mastertcn and Wairarapa Clubs, played at Rototawai, yesterday, resulted in a win for the Masterton men by 5 matches to "3, whilst the Wairarapa ladies won by 2 matches to 1. The individual scores were as follow (Masterton players being mentiono first in « each instance):—A. B. Lawu- te lost to J. C. Bidwill, 4 down, 2 to play; C. C. Ccx lost to W. E. Bidwill, 1 down; A. Bev/ley lost to W. A. Kiely, 4 down, 2 to play; W. H. Pnl;ie£on beat G. Hume, 9 up, Bto play; V. E. Donald beat A. Hannay^ 3 up, 2 to pipy; A; C. Major beat A." C. Pearce, 3 up, 5 to play; W. P. Janes and F. Pearce, all square; W. 11. L. Galwey beat M. E. Turrell, 5 up 4 to play; A. R. Sclanders and C. B*. Phurazyn, all square. Miss J. Robieson lost to Mrs W. E. Bidwill, 6 down, 5 to play; Miss G,- Booth lost to Miss Bidwill, 5 down, 4to play; Mrs H. Holmes beat Mrs G. Hume, 6 up, 5 to play. MASTEETON v. GREYTOWN. A match was played at Grey town, yesterday, between teams representing the' Masterton and Greytown Clubs. Masterton won every game except one. The following were the scores (the Masterton players being mentioned first in each instance): — J. B. Henry beat Cromie, 8 up, 6 to play; G. G. Aitken beat Halse, 1. up; A. Caselberg beat Wolters, 8 up, 7 to play; D. Caselberg beat Diddams, 8 up, 7 to play; J. B. Moodie beat M. Maxton, 8 up, 6 to play; H. W. Rishworth beat W. Te Tau, 5 up, 4to play; N. H. James won, 4 up, 3to play. In the ladies' match Mrs Henry (Masterton) won, 7 up, / 5 to play; Mrs James (Masterton) won, Sup, 6 to play; Miss Holmes (Masterton) won, 7 up, 6 to play; and Miss M. H.
