THE KELLY GANG.
The biograph picture of "The Kelly Gang" will be shown for the first time in Masterton at the Town Hall, to-night, The film is the sole property of Messrs J. and N. Tait, who were engaged during the past few months with cinematographic operators and others upon the subject. They claim it is one of the biggest moving pictures ever secured, and that it cost nearly £I,OOO to produce it. The final scene shows the Glenrowan Hotel on fire, and shots are exchanged between the outlaws and some fifty police who were sent from Melbourne by special train which, train by the way is shown exactly as the Kellys tried to wreck it by tearing up the line. These two scenes with that of Kate Kelly being chased by the police in the ranges and through a swamp form a finale. The entertainment throughout is of a very interesting nature, and a large attendance may be safely anticipated. Seats may be booked at Miss Rive's.
