JAPANESE IN CALIFORNIA. Received May 30, 8.36 a.m. NEW YORK, May 29. The disturbance in San Francisco arose through two unionists dining at at a Japanese restaurant. Other unionists demanded their expulsion or the surrender of tl.uir unionist cards. Refusal of this request led to a mob of unionists attacking the restaurant. 'l'he available police were inadequate owing to the street railway strike.
