Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Pahiatua yards, on Despite the severe weather there was a very fair entry of both sheep and cattle. Bidding for sheep was brisk, and with one exception all lines were sold under the hammer. The demand for cattle as not so brisk, but the major- , ity found purchasers before leaving the yards. Two and 4-tooth wethers reached 16s 2d to 16s 4d, fat and forward ewes |l4s 5d to 15s Id, forward ewes 12s to 13s Id, good *ewes in lamb 18s, mixed hoggets 10s to 10s 9d, forward bullocks 121s, 3-year steers 90s, fat heifers 80s, fat cows 77s 6d to 90s, store cows 535, store cows 245, cows in calf 495.
