Mr and Mrs Cutler, who intend leaving Kakariki soon, were tendered a farewell social in the Kakariki Schoolhouse last Thursday. Mr Joseph Dawson presided. The chairman, in making the presentations, referred in high terms to the good qualities of the departing guests, and pointed out the loss the district would sustain. Mr Cutler, on behalf of Mrs Cutler and himself, replied in an appropriate speech. Altogether the gathering was most successful, and reflects the greatest credit on all who lent a helping hand.
