TINUI, May 24
The Farmers' Union social, which was jpostponed on the 9th instant, owing to the severe weather, was held on the 23rd instant, and proved a great success. u The evening was fine, and a large number of people were present, who, judging from the "recalls" and hearty rounds of applause accorded to the singers, thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Mr H. A. Nevins, the Union's President, with the assistance of several other members, deserve a special word-of praise for the success of their efforts.
