MASTERTON v. FEATHERSTON. The match Masterton v. Featherston, played at Featherston yester- ( day, was won by the former by eight matches to five in the men's match, and by four matches to nil in the ladies' match. Speedy, sup 4 to play; D. Donald lost to J. T. Bicknell,2 down 1 to play; 'W. H. Robieson beat E. Toogood, 2upl to play; V. E. Donald beat J. W. Card, 5 up 4 to play; A. C. Major beat F. Burt, 3 up 2 to play; N. D . Bunting lost to A. Hammond, 5 down 4 to play; W. P. James beat Q. Donald, 3 up; W. H. L. Galwey lost to F. C. Everton, 1 down; J. B. Henry beat E. Williams, 2 up 1 to pi ay; H. W. Rishworth lost to A. J. Toogood, 2 down 1 to play; G. C. Summerell lost to J. McCarty, 4 down 3to play; Miss E. Robieson beat Mrs Saunders, 3up2 to play; Miss J. Robieson beat Mrs W. Toogood, 4 up 3 to play; Miss G. Booth, beat Mrs E. Toogood, G up 5 to play; Mrs J. B. Henry beat Miss Viles, 5 up 3 to play. COTTER CHALLENGE ROSE BOWL. In conjunction with the above match Miss E. Robieson played Mrs Saunders, the holder of the Bowl, and won as the above score indicates. At the conclusion of the match Mr A. J. Toogood, the (jpptain of the Featherston Club, in a few appropriate words, referred to the splendid play of both players, and then presented Miss Robieson with the challenge trophy. Miss Robieson is new the holder until beaten on the Mestertan links.
