THE "HUMAN HEARTS" COMPANY.
In connection with the production of Mr Edwin Ueach's new American drama, "Human Hearts," the engagement of Mr Ernest Leicester, said to be one of the very finest ''leads" imported to Australasia is •of consideraflle importance. A contemporary says:—"Mr Leicester is among: the best known personalities •of the English stage to-day, whilst still a young man, and it is safe to say that few actors have visited these shores bringing with them the record that Mr Ernest Leicester does. He has created more original parts In the productions of the West End •of London and the English Provinces than perhaps any other actor who has visited the colonies. The notable •dramatic season at the Princess Theatre, London, under the management of Mr Albert Gilmer, brought to light a number of the successes of 'the day, and pieces " which have become as well-known as words in our language. It was Mr Ernest Leicester who created the leading role in the' Two Little Vagabonds/ 'Tommy Atkins,' 'ln Sight of St Paul's,' 'Women and Wine.' 'The Sir* of William Jackson,'and 'Human Hearts.' He was*five years the 'leading'man at the Surrey Theatre, the most famous theatre in England in its day dfor drama."
