CARRIAGE OF LIVE STOCK.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 23. New regulations have been made respecting the carriage of live stock on the ships. It is provided that if a steamer trading between the Chathams and New Zealand between November Ist and April 30th desired to carry more live stock on deck than is permitted by the existing regulations the master or owner must apply to the Collector of Customs for a permit specifying the number to be carried, and if the surveyor approves of the application a special license may be granted.
