THE NEWFOUNDLAND FISHERIES.
LONDON, May 17,
Mr Deakin, int?rvicwed declared that Sir Robert Bond, Premier of Newfoundland, certainly protested emphatically at the Imperial Conference against the fisheries arrangement with America, to which the Newfoundland legislature was subjected, and against the Imperial Government's refusal to reverse its attitude.
The Premiers, during the sitting, impressed on the Home Government their sympathy with Sir Robert Bond's conventions, but made no demonstration of their feelings.
