FALL IN RAILWAY STOCKS.

Received May 16, 8.59 a.m. LONDON, May 15. There has been a general fall in British railway stocks owing to the threatened strike. (The "Daily Mail has stated that the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants threaten t£ strike on the August Bank Holiday—the first Monday in August— if the railway companies do not recognise the society in negotiating with the men. The Daily News calculates that the demands of the men would add seven and a-half millions to the wages bill.)
