RUDGE - WHITWORTH ROAD RACE.
Great interest, is beirtg taken by. cyclists throughout the Wairarapa and other districts, in the road race inaugurated by the enterprising firm of Messrs E. Reynolds and Co., which is to eventuate on Friday, May 24th. The distance to be covered is about 56 miles, the route being from Masterton to Bidwill's Cutting, via Featherston and Morison's Bush, back to Masterton. The first prize will be a ladies' or gentleman's bicycle, valued at £ls, second prize a gold medal valued £5 ss, and the third prize a set of Dunlop tyres valued £3. A gold medal valued at £5 5s will also be given to the competitor making the fastest time in the race. The nominations will close on May -17 th, and on May 23rd, at 9 p.m. The race will commence at 11 a.m. sharp. Full particulars may be obtained from Mr G. Isaacs, manager of the local branch. V
