MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

FINANCE COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Finance Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held in the Association's room on Saturday raornin,,. There were present:— * Messrs G. C. Summerell (in the chair), R. Gray, J. P. Cruickshank, and J. B. Moodie. The financial position of the Association was reported to be as follows: —Dr. balance last month, £770 6s 7d; -.expenditure for the month, £l2O 9s 9d; receipts for the month, £l5B 0s 9d; leaving a debit balance at date ►of £732 15s 7d. Accounts amounting to £IOO 9s lid were passed for payment. Tenders were received from several local jewellers for the supplyof 10 gold .medals and six silver medals to the -• As all the tenders were the same it Was decided to draw for the successful tenderer, and Mr A. i Henderson's tender was accepted. It 'was further decided that in future the weight, quality and price of this ; year's medals be taken as a standard, and that the work be given next .year to one of those tradesmen who tendered unsuccessfully on this •occasion.

GENERAL MEETING. A meeting of the General Committee was held in the Association's room on Saturday afternoon. Mr R. Gray presided, and there were also present:—Messrs J. D. Cruickshank, D. McGregor, jnr., D. Caselberg, O. C. Cooper, W. Cooper, R. J. Dagg, T. P. Lett, F. C. Lewis, John Macrae, J. McGregor. W. McKenzie, F. W. Carey, J. C. McKillop, J. B. Moodie, Jos. Morris, J. P. Perry, Wm. Perry, A, G. Pilmer and Bland Rayner. A telegram wa3 received from the, Manawatu and Feilding Associations, stating that they were sending a deputation to Wellington to interview the Minister of-Railways in refererce to the difficulty in connection with ithe trucking of stock, and they asked the Masterton Association to join them.—Mr J. D. Cruickshank was appointed to represent the Masterton Association on the deputation* The resignations of Messrs A. H. Johnson, J. A. Cameron and H. B. Stuckey were accepted.
