A severe hurricane was experienced on April 17th at Fotuna Island, one of the Horn Islands, north-east of Fiji. Residences, stone churches, and cocoanut crops were levelled. Food is scarce.
ACTION AGAINST BISHOP NEVILL. Eeceived May 8, 10.35 a.m. LONDON, May 7. In its firal form, the judgment against Bishop Nevill makes him liable to the extent of the amount left at his disposal by his first wife's will, and codicil, up to £IO,OOO. DECEEE GEANTED.
Eeceived May 8, 10.35 a.m. LONDON, May 7. Lieutenant Chamberlain has been granted a decree nisi. (It was cabled on April 12th that Engineer-Lieutenant E. W. Chamberlain had applied for a divorce on the ground of his wife's adultery with Sir Brodrick Hartwell, with whom she eloped to Australia. The judge was satisfied with the evidence of adultery, and adjourned the case for proof of marriage.) A COLONIAL COLLEGE. Eeceived May 5, 8.35^a.m. LONDON, May 7.
