WORKMEN'S HOMES.
(To the Editor.) ' Sir,—lt was very gratifying to me . to read your leader of -yesterday re the establishment. of workmen's homes in Masterton. A great deal could be written in favour of the many advantages that will accrue, from such homes, but as there are. several gentlemen who intend to speak at the meeting to be held on Friday night, 1 think it would be a little out of place for me to go fully ■ into details, as it would be, in a manner, cutting the ground from under the feet of those who intend to address the meeting. .However, ' t there is' one matter in connection with the movement that I think requires publicity, and that is that it is intended at the meeting to form a Workmen's Home League. If this is carried out, it will lend great strength to the movement. Ido trust that those who are interested will turn out to the meeting in great force.j—l am, etc., -JOHN MACKAY.
