MASTERTON RACING CLUB.
MEETING OF STEWARDS. The monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Masterton Racing Club was held in the Secretary's office on Saturday afternoon last. Mr C. A. Powr.all presided, and there were also present: —Messrs R. Buick, D. Caselberg, W. Cooper, J. lorns, J. Macara, D. McLachlan, W. Piatt, A. Reside, C. H. Smith and A. J. Welch. Anapology for absence was received from Mr W. D. Watson. A letter was received from the Secretary of the New Zealand Racing Conference asking the Club to forward the dates,' whem selected, for their race meetings during the ensuing year.—Messrs Buick, Caselberg, Macara, Pownall, Reside, Smith and Vallance, were appointed a committee to select the dates for the meetings. The Chairman reported that he had made arrangements with Mr J. L. Murray in connection with the Uae of one of the rooms in the Exchange Buildings for meetings, on certain terms. The Chairman's action was endorsed by the Stewards. Messrs J. A. Renall and A. Johnson forwarded their resignations as members of the Club, owing to their leaving the district.—The resignations were accepted. \
