AUSTRALIAN NEWS.

RABBIT VIRUS. Received May 3, 12.46 a.m. SYDNEY, May 2. . Dr. Danysz has submitted'a report to the Pasteurs Board on his experiments with the rabbit virus. The experiments of contagion show that 72 infected rabbits died and gave the disease to 193 out of 307. Healthy rabbits on the spot where infected rabbits have lived, died and remained infectious for a certain time. The question of immunity of other animals was left to Dr. Tidswill, who had been appointed by the Commonwealth, but Dr. Danysz had satisfied himself on that point, and his experiments fully justified the opinion he held that the, virus yvas dangerous only to rabbits.
