INDIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA.
Received May 1, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, April 30. General Botha was interviewed by a deputation, headed by Lord Ampr thill, * formerly Acting-Viceroy of India, concerning the differentiating legislative treatment of British Indians in the Transvaal. General Botha repudiated any intention of hurting the feelings of Indians in the colony, and promised to exert influence to prevent such a result.
