He intimated his intention to move the' reaffirmation of the preference •resolutions-carried by the Imperial Conference in 1902, though he understood Australia proposed W take similar action. ' Mr j Deakin. remarked that Australia's resolutions preferred an explicit request for preference from the* 1 Motherland. , 1 .Mr Deakin was speaking when the copference ' adjourned to' attend a luncheon given by colonial-born "'members.of .the House of Commons.
