Measrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on a clearing sale held on account of Mr H. W. Jackson, at Langdale :—The horses being well-known as good workers, and being ,in good condition, made very satisfactory prices, all selling readily under the hammer. Implements and sundries also sold at full Values( The entry of sheep on account of other vendors was medium, but owners' reserves were on the high side, and not much business was done. The draught horses made the following prices:— Seven-year-old mare and foal £47,' aged mares £32 to £37 10a, 3-year old draught gelding £4O, 2-year old £3O, 18-month colt £ls 10s; aged geldings £2B, light horses £6 15s to £B. Sheep: Lambs 10s lOd, poorer sorts 4s 6d, store ewes 10s to 10s 6d.
