The Castlepoint Racing Club held their meeting on the 27th instant, and the gathering proved a huge success. The meeting has been defunct for several years, and has now been ravived by several leading settlers, and, judging by the interest shown in this meeting, it will now be an annual fixture. The weather was glorious, ' and a fairly large crowd assembled, and thoroughly enjoyed the day's sport. The secretary,' Mr ,W. Mason, had all arrangements complete, While Mr A. Mason, the handicapper, is to be congratulated on his ability in adjusting the weights, as not one horse was scratched during the day. Mr W. Harvey; the judge, also gave general satisfaction. During the afternoon, Mr McHutchon, the club's president, presented Mrs F. Armstrong with the bracelet which her horse had won Needless to say, Mrs Armstrong was 1 heartily cheered. (The results of the races have already been published.)
