EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE
Md3srs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at the Eketa--huna yards, on Friday, when about 2,000 sheep came forward, and about 200 head of cattle. The entry of aht-ejt chiefly comprised lambs for • which.there was a particularly good inquiry. All lines of sheep, and with two exceptions, all cattle were sold. A record was established for mixed woolly lambs, which were disposed of under the hammer at 14s. Two-tooth wethers sold frum 16s. 3d to Ids Bd,good woolly lambs 13s 5d to 14s, shorn lambs 10s lOd to 12s 3d, culls from 8s 9d, s.m. ewes in lamb 12s to 13s 9d, 2-tooth ewes in lamb ltis lid, 2-tooth black-face ewes 12s 6d, 3-year steers 94s to 96s 6d, 2J to 3-year steers from tsss, 3 and 4year steers 102s to 103s, fat cows 80s, stores 575, 18-month heifers ' 355, 18-month and 2-year steers 50s : to 68s, yearling to 18-month steers 50s, weaner pigs Bs, express horse £2O. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at Palmerston North, on Thursday, a fair yarding „.came forward. The attendance was "not so large as gusual, but buyers' compettiion was good. The whole of the heep were sold under the hammer, and with .the exception of one pen of fat cows, all the cattle changed hands.'
