HOCKEY NOTES.
(By Full-back).
The Kia Kaha Club, I understand, have abandoned the idea of placing two teams i n the field. Knox Church Club made aigood stand for a new Club against W.P.C.A., at Lunsdowne, on Thursday last, and by the time the Cup matches commence they should- be in good form. A club has been formed at Greytown, and has decided to affiliate with the Association. This will now be about six teams in the Major Cup Competition. J. Gordon, who was captain of the Ek etahuna team, last season, has decided to throw in his lot with the Kia Kaha Club, this season. Delegates to the Wairarapa Hockey Association will meet in the Y.M.C. A. Rooms on Monday night at 7.45 o'clock, to draw up the fixtures for the season. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Ladies' Hockey Association will be held in Knox Church Schoolroom, next Thursday afternoon at 4.30 o'clock.
