PALMERSTON N., April 25. The North Island Brass Band Association Executive met to-night. It was decided that the next contest should be hbld in New Plymouth; that the selections should be procured from Boosey and Co. and R. Smith and Co., and a march from Mr Trussell; that for the purpose of creating a standard and the inauguration of B grade contests all the winners of first, second and third prizes for the past three years shall not compete at the B grade competitions at the 1908 contest, or subseqent to the 1908 contest. A notice of motion was tabled that two judges be appointed for the contests, as it was unfair to-keep men waiting when the contests extended over three days.
