SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

• CHRISTCHUKCH, April 24. A serious railway accident occurnd at the Bejl'ast railway station tc-day. Mrs Jordan, who is 72<, years of age, was standing on the platform when a train came in and, from some cause which does not seem to have been noticed by the bystanders, she fell towards the train, and was severely crushed between it and the kerbing of the platform. She was brought into Christchureh by her son -in-law, Mr Patterson, and admitted to the hospital shortly before 1 o'clock, It was found that one 'of her arms and several ribs were broken.
