A comparative statement showing the tramway receipts and expenditure prior to and including the Exhibition period was presented by the Chairman of the Tramway Board at the meeting yesterday afternoon. The statement showed that the receipts for the seven months from. April, to October 1906 totalled £37,317 19s 2d, the ra,qnih.Jy revenue belfig »£ &HfIWH-*Ap*U 455,516 ""3s 7d. May 10s 4d, July £4,855 17s 4d, 35,908 ids *d. September J5,203 leg sd, October £5,632 5§ tU, Sundry revenue £330 17s 4d. The total ex* penditure during that period was £35,612 18s 4d, which included power, maintenance, and general expediting £27,018 13s 4d, and interest and sinking fund £8,351 ss, the net profit being £1,705 0s lOd. During the Exhibition season from November 1906 to March 1907, the receipts had totalled £49,126 9s 9d, as follows:—November £8,852 15s Bd, December £9,058 9s 9d, January £10,909 17s 6d, February £9,319 lis sd, March £10,506 2s sd, sundry revenue £4BO 13s. The expenditure amounted to £31,382 4s Bd, £6,701 16s 2d of which was for interest and sinking fund, the balance being % general 1 expenditure, leaving a net profit for the five months of £17,744 5s Id.
