f T ' • ctt-yßn There are only seven teams entered for the senior championship matches under the auspices of the Canterbury Rugby Union. Otago has ten teams, which is larger than any other province in the colony. The Wellington Rugby Union's Senior championship matches will commence to-day. The fixtures are as follow: Melrose v. Poneke, Petonc v, Wellington, Old Boys v. Athletics, Oriental v. S. James. G. MeMinn, who played for the Pirates a couple of seasons ago, is playing full-back for Petone this | season. j
