STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Pahiatua and Masterton stock sales as follows: — On Tuesday, at Pahiatua, we submitted an average yarding of sheep and a full yarding of cattle. Bidding at auction for sheep was good, and we sold the bulk of the entry under the hammer at prices on a par with late rates. The enquiry for cattle showed an improvement on late sales, and we cleared the catalogues with the exception of a few odd' lots. At Masterton sheep came forward up to advertised numbers. Bidding at auction for the better classes was good, but a large entry of old ewes met with a dull sale, most of the business in this class having to be done privately. Cattle were yarded in fair average numbers, all selling at full rates.
