—« ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Masterton Morris Tube Association was held in the Drill Hall, last evening. Mr H. Brighting presided, and there were twelve other members present. The balance-sheet showed cash in hand to amount to £6 2s Bd, assets £9 3s 2d, and liabilities nil. Owing to the secretary being away from the town the balance-sheet had not been audited, and consequently was held over. The secretary of the Hall Committee wrote stating that the Drill Hall was available at a rental of £2 10s (including gas) for the season. It was decided to accept these terms, and to apply for the use of the hall on Monday and Thursday evenings. ' The election of officers resulted as follows Patron, Mr J. A. Renall; President, Mr W. H. Beetham; Vice-Presidents, Dr. Cook and Messrs A. C. Major. C. E. Daniell, H. Holmes, F. Whitton, H. G. Williams and W. Burridge; Captain, Mr R. J. King; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr A. Pickering; Executive Committee, Messrs R. J. King, W. J. Winslade, H. Perry, W. D. Ayson, W. Burridge, T. W. Wellington and E. Perry; Referees, Messrs King, Winslade and H. Perry; Match Committee, Messrs 'Ayson; Winslade and Burridge; Range Committee, Messrs Wellington and E. Perry. Eleven new members were elected. It was decided, on the motion of Mr C. Perry, that competitors be classified into A and B classes, the classifying to be left in the hands of the Executive Committee. The opening night was fixed for Monday, April 29th. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring secretary (M L. H. Lewis).
