SALE OF STRONVAR AND KINTAIL SHEEP.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.,, report as follows on their sale, yesterday, of the Stronvar and Kintail sheep:—We had a good representative attendance of buyers for all classes, and with the fact that the stock offered were well drafted, and in nice healthy condition, bidding was free all throughout the sale, every pen being sold under the hammer at sound market rates. Wethers made 15s sd, culls 12s 3d, 2-tooth ewes 15s 9d, longwoblled ewes 16s, half-bred ewes 8s 9d to 9s Id, *culls 6s Bd, best lambs lis 3d, others 8s lid to 9s 6d, rams (sound) 13s to 265, boilers 5s 9d. The New Zealand Loan and Merantile Agency Company, Ltd,, report on their fortnightly stock sale. at Greytown, yesterday, as follows— Entries in sheep and cattle came forward in average numbers. Competition for ail lines was good, only one lot failing to sell. Best wethers made 16s 6d, lambs from 7s 6d, bullocks £5 tts, smaller cattle at market rates.
