A COAL COMBINE. Received April 12, a.m. LONDON,, April 11. A coal combine of a million and a quarter is being formed :by the principal collieries of the East Midlothians.
Mr A. F. Pease, representing the Cleveland (Yorkshire) Ironmasters' Association, testified to the Miners' Eight Hours' Commission that if the Cleveland district was placed wnder regarding the ,coal supply it would be wiped out ofjfortfiign markets. Such restrictions would raise the price, and smild Kiake the industry impossible.
