MONTGOMERY'S ENTERTAINERS.

Mr Edmund Montgomery's entertainers will give an entertainment in the Masterton Town Hall on Thursday evening. Of a recent entertainment given in Wellington by the company the Evening Post says : There was a large attendance of the public, the floor of the large hall being crowded, whilst the gallery was liberally patronised. A lengthy programme of songs was given, the principal items being "There is a I Green Hill'' (Gounod) and Sullivan's "Thou'rt Passing Hence," by Mr W. H. Montgonery, who is the possessor of a trained baritone voice, which he uses with excellent judgment. Miss Geraldine Marsh was also successful in her singing. Illustrated songs by Miss Ettie Hargood and Mr Edmund Montgomery were prominent features of the bill, and in each instance were encored. A recitation wasjgiven by Mr Peter Eadie, and two pianoforte ' selections by Mr Harold Godier. Mr Montgomery always presents something novel and interesting in the moving picture line, and last night was no exception, for, though the selection was modified to suit the occasion, they were very entertaining. An electric lighting plant of 4,000 candle power is used.
