DU,N<EDIN, Apriil ,5. ; At yesterday's .meeting of ,the Trades and Labour Conference Mr McCulloeh moved That the Conference re-affirm its staunch adherence to tfae principle c£ land nationalisation." In regard to #ie Land Bill the Conference supported and endorsed i.ts progressive provisions, and in the interests of tiae workers strongly urged an amendment .of the limitation clause red«cang limitation from £50,000 to £30,00® amimproved value and of reserving t® the State the sole right of purchase of the excess of land at the owner's present valuation for taxation purposes, plus ten per cent. Such , lands so reserved to be disposed of under the renewai&e lease clause in the Bill; the period ifor the re-valuation for all lands tu reduced /rom 66 to 22 years.
