NEW PLYMOUTH, April 5. Early this morning the Birthday jpstvoleum well was again turned <on, and oil came with a rush for a start, but after a few barrels had been :filled the flow ceased on account of the :.prossure of gas. After having relieved itspent-up force somewhat the gas *ave way to a flow of oil which ran continuously fill day until 5 o'clock. Larger outlet pipes have now ibeen secured, and are to be fixed tomorrow morning, and the well will ■be allowed toa-un untill all the reservoirs'and 200 barrels in stock have foeen {filled. 'With the easing of the gas preusure, a big flow is expected. Yesterday's temporary set-back lias not /affected the market, shares to-day gelling at 17s 3d.
