CHARGES AGAINST A LAND AGENT:
By telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCH URCH, April 3. At the Magistrate's Court, to-day, Andrew Edward Ward, a house and land agent, was committed for trial on two charges of stealing money i from clients. In one case evidence Was given that the accused had received £l9 from an elderly widow in part payment for a section which he had no authority to sell, and none of the money went 'to the owner of the land. In the other case it was stated that accused had received £2O as a deposit on a section which was not handed over to the owner. Ward had been authorised to sell for £l2O cash, but he sold for £l7O with a £2O deposit.
