CONTINUANCE OF CRIME. Received March 19, 8.31 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, March 18. The police at Possadavriloff, in Russia, fired upon five Hundred peasants who were looting a GovernI ment drinking establishment, killing eight. A boy aged fifteen years set fire to thirty houses in Posen (Poland), causing loss estimated at £IOO,OOO. ATTEMPT TO POISON COUNT LAMSDORFF. ' Received March 19, 10.53 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, March 19. It is stated that an attempt was ■made, at St. Petersburg, to poison Count Lamsdorff, who is now at San Remo in a critical state.
